![]() Are you sure?
You must accept that you are a sinner Romans 3:10, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:" Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Where did sin come from? Romans 5:12, "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" You must accept that as a sinner you owe a major penalty Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." John 3:18, "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." I Corinthians 15:22, "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." You must accept that you cannot pay your penalty yourself in order to go to Heaven Ephesians 2:8-9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Titus 3:5, "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;" You must accept that Jesus Christ has already paid your sin debt Romans 5:6, "For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly." Romans 5:8, "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." II Corinthians 5:21, "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." Christ was not a sinner, and the Bible teaches that God took all of our sin and placed it on Christ. While Christ was bearing all of our sins in His own body, God punished Him in our place to pay the debt we owe. You must accept that He arose from the grave and is alive today Matthew 28:6, "He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay." Acts 1:3, "To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:" I Corinthians 15:17, "And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins." You must accept by faith what Jesus did for you and ask Him to save you Romans 10:9, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:13, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Acts 2:21, "And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved." John 1:12, "But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name." Action is required If you understand and accept these 6 points, you must then put your faith into action and call on Jesus Christ to be your Savior. Below is a prayer you may use (it is not a specific prayer that saves you) to help you express to the Lord Jesus a genuine heart concerning the truths above. Prayer Dear Lord, I know I am a sinner. I believe in my heart that Jesus, your Son, died on the cross and shed His blood for the remission of my sins and that He rose from the dead. Please forgive me of my sins and come into my heart. I receive Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. I commit my life to you today and ask you to help me to live for you from this day forward. In Jesus name, Amen. |
